MakeMyTrip.com, an online travel portal, is awaiting an approval from Indian Railway Corporation to sell rail tickets and as well as room bookings for railway budget hotels on its site, reports Business Standard. Currently, railway tickets can be booked online only on Indian Railway sites and nearly 50,000 railway tickets are getting booked online everyday.

MakeMyTrip.com currently has two different portals, one catering the NRI’s in USA (link here) and another one for India (link here). It will be really beneficial for both to the NRI’s, planning a trip back home and as well as to MakeMyTrip.com once the online rail tickets booking feature is available.

PioTV.com, a new online community for People of Indian Origin (PIO aka NRI) was launched yesterday. I would consider this as a online video portal, you could get lot of vide content on this site all related to entertainment, business, current news, sports, etc. Some of the sections on the site are empty.
