Sania Mirza is one of the 60 architects of India by msn.co.in…..get your facts straight MSN

As part of celebrating the 60 years of Indian Independence, msn.co.in has released 60 Architects of India list. Click here to see the entire list. There are many great people on this list. What interests me is that Sania Mirza is also one among them. I believe that she definitely deserves this. She has achieved so much in a very young age and she is the first Indian woman to win a Women’s Tennis Association title. And this is what MSN say’s about Sania Mirza

“Sania Mirza
Sania has managed to become the favorite sportsperson of thousands of her countrymen in cricket-mad India. The first Indian woman to win a Women’s Tennis Association title, Sania is now considered to be a youth icon in the country. The year 2005 was a significant year for Sania. She became the first Indian woman to be ranked in the world’s top 50 and reached the fourth round of a Grand Slam tournament defeating players like Marion Bartoli “

And seems like MSN missed the fact that, Sania Mirza already broke into the top 30 about a week back (link about that news here). Get your facts straight MSN.

After looking at Google and Yahoo, I went to msn.co.in to expect something similar. However the home page did not have any tricolor logo and there is nothing symbolizing the Independency day celebration. And then I saw a link which says “MSN wishes you all a happy I-Day” (link here). The link is in one corner and chances are that you might miss it.

I clicked the link to find out that MSN has created set of pages to commemorating 60 years of Indian Independence. Check it out (link here), you get a lot of good information from there. And there is a quiz to test you on how  good your understanding of the integral representatives of our independence are, here is the link to it.

And If you are like me, I mean living outside of India and think that you missed the President’s and Prime Minister’s Independence day address to the Nation, don’t worry, Indian Government did a webcast of President’s and Prime Minister’s Independency day address. Here is the link for it.
