India Today to launch a general interest portal
The India Today group is planning to launch a general interest portal in the next six to eight months. This site will feature free content from it’s different channels like print publications, television channels and events. India Today is creating a horizontal search across their multiple channels. They are also planning to provide the contents to mobile platforms. This portal will be a common gateway to content across ten verticals, including business, news, lifestyle, education, travel and health. There will also be retail elements on the portal, basically subscription bookings for its magazines and its book club.
