Indians are very optimistic about India’s future

Little bit out of the norm. However found this article interesting. Sourced from economist.com. Gallup had conducted a World Poll spanning across 130 countries. And it seems more people in wealthy places like America, Europe, Japan and Saudi Arabia consider themselves happy. Here is a map of those results

world

And other key observations related to India

  • The survey asked questions about confidence in the future, whether your children will be better off than you are and Indians seems to be very optimistic about Indians future
  • And the perceptions between the rich and general population in India are totally different. Elite population tends to be more upbeat when compared to the general population.

table

I’m at least happy that we are optimistic about the future.

thats a generalisation.. the elite for such a tiny part of our population that for you to arrive at that conclusion is wrong. actually the people of india are NOT optimistic at all - from that data itself - 9% is ridiculous.

    Hi Rad,
9% is current scenario. However the survey says that Indians are optimistic about the future not about the current scenario. I believe I made that clear.
